P4- Identify and repurpose content for use in the profile

For my short film and test footage I had initially exported them as an MOV format due to working on a Macintosh however i later converted them to an MP4 format as it is a better suited format for uploading .I had to then upload them to YouTube to be embedded into the website as a link doesn't have as much memory to be loaded so will make the website load all entities faster. The reason for this was because I wanted to show the end products of my work as I was also going to have screenshots of me editing within Premier Pro to show off my skills within the software but also did it to show off a little of my editing style as all media producers even ones in post-production have their own style and some style might best suit the needs of one client over another. Moreover, by changing the file type, I lowered the size of my files from roughly 40Mb to 15Mb making the upload time a lot shorter.

For my photography, I initially wanted show a before and after shot of my photos however when shooting the images I had them set to be captured as CRaw images which is specific to Canon Dslr cameras, this means that the format wouldn't be compatible with a website due to the different OS, so I had to either take screenshots of it in the software or as I did, export them as JPEG files, as they are the smallest file formats so will be better to be uploaded into a website, before editing them in which I also did this process for my final images. By performing this image optimisation i changed the images from being around 3MB to roughly 200KB in size so my web pages would load as fast as possible. This lead to the pages on the website being under 2mb for my portfolio meaning they will load really fast.
